In-Room Massagein Bangkok: FAQs

Everything you'd want to know before booking a licensed therapist to your hotel room. If something isn't covered here, message us on WhatsApp and we'll answer it, every night.

Booking & Service

  • Message us on WhatsApp with your hotel name, room number, the time you want, and the treatment you want. That's it. No app to download, no account to set up, no form to fill in. Not sure which massage to pick? Describe what you're after and we'll recommend one. Most bookings are confirmed in under 4 minutes.

  • In most central Bangkok districts, a licensed therapist is at your door in under 30 minutes. We keep therapists positioned across nine districts every night, so you're not waiting for someone to cross the city. In our fastest zones, like Asoke, it can be closer to 15 minutes.

  • Nine districts: Sukhumvit, Asoke, Phrom Phong, Riverside, Silom, Sathorn, Thonglor, Ekkamai, and Siam, covering more than forty hotels plus condos and private residences. Staying just outside these areas? Message us your address and we'll confirm whether we can reach you.

  • We take bookings on WhatsApp from 10 AM to 2 AM, every day of the year, weekends and holidays included. The last booking each night is taken with enough time for the therapist to arrive before 2 AM.

  • You don't need to book ahead. Most guests message us the same evening and have a therapist arrive within the hour. For a four hands massage, which needs two therapists free at once, or for a specific therapist at a busy time, a few hours' notice helps guarantee availability.

  • Yes, all three. We bring in-room massage to hotels, serviced apartments, condos, and private residences across Bangkok. Your therapist arrives discreetly, in professional attire, and signs in at reception like any visiting wellness practitioner.

  • Yes. In-room massage by a therapist licensed by the Thai Ministry of Public Health is fully legal in Thailand, just as a registered wellness practitioner visiting any private residence is legal. Every Elysian therapist holds a current massage licence, carries her ID, and is registered with us before her first booking.

The Therapists

  • Yes. Tell us her name when you message and we'll match her availability to the time you want. If she's already booked, we'll suggest another therapist with the same specialism. Repeat guests can keep a preferred therapist on file so future bookings go to her by default.

  • Yes. Every certified therapist on the Elysian roster is female. We don't currently offer male therapists, and we'd rather be upfront about that than promise something we can't reliably provide.

  • Every one. All Elysian therapists are licensed by the Thai Ministry of Public Health, background-checked, vaccinated, and trained by us before their first booking. We check each licence ourselves and keep a copy. It's the legal floor, not a marketing line.

  • All our therapists speak working English, enough to take a full session brief, understand your pressure preferences, and respond to anything you raise during the treatment, without translation apps. One of our therapists also speaks Mandarin.

  • Tell her during the session. Pressure, pace, or focus, she'll adjust on the spot. If something still isn't right, message us and we'll make it right. For repeat bookings, we'll match you with a different therapist next time so the fit is clean.

Treatments

  • It depends on what you're after. Pick traditional Thai for firm, dry pressure and stretching, aromatherapy or coconut oil for relaxation, deep tissue for chronic pain or knots, Swedish for a gentle full-body wind-down, and four hands for the most indulgent experience. Not sure? Message us, tell us how you're feeling, and we'll point you to the right one.

  • Traditional Thai massage is dry, firm, and active, built on acupressure and assisted stretching with no oil, performed in loose clothing. Oil massage, like aromatherapy, uses warm oil and lighter, flowing strokes for relaxation. Deep tissue uses sustained, strong pressure to reach the deeper muscle layers and is the choice for chronic tension and pain. In short: Thai stretches you, oil soothes you, deep tissue works the knots out.

  • For an oil massage, you undress as much as you're comfortable with and stay covered by a towel or sheet throughout, with only the area being worked on exposed. For traditional Thai massage, you stay fully clothed in loose, comfortable clothing you can stretch in, and your therapist can bring Thai-style pants if you'd rather.

  • No. Your therapist brings everything: oils, towels, and fresh sheets she lays over your bed. We don't use a massage table, so all you need to do is clear a little space and have your room ready. Just yourself and somewhere to lie down.

  • Sessions run 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Sixty covers the essentials, 90 gives you a full unhurried treatment, and 120 is for when you want the complete experience. Ninety minutes is the most-booked option across every treatment.

  • No. Our therapists work on your own bed, with fresh sheets they bring and lay down for every session. That means nothing bulky to set up in your room, a clean surface every time, and you go straight from the treatment to sleep, which is the whole point of an in-room massage.

Pricing & Payment

  • Prices start from ฿1,000 and depend on the treatment and duration. Traditional Thai starts at ฿1,000, aromatherapy oil from ฿1,200, deep tissue from ฿1,400, and four hands from ฿2,000. Every price is flat and all-inclusive. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.

  • No. The price we quote on WhatsApp is the price you pay. No late-night surcharge, no holiday rate, no service charge added at the end. The only addition is a 7% processing fee if you pay by card or crypto, which we tell you about upfront, never after.

  • Yes. There's no night-shift fee and no late surcharge. A booking at 1 AM costs exactly the same as one at midday. Many Bangkok services quietly add a fee after 9 PM. We don't.

  • Transport is free within 7 km of the city centre, which covers most central Bangkok hotels and condos. For locations further out, our admin confirms any travel fee before you book, so there's never a surprise on arrival.

  • Cash, card, or crypto, settled before the treatment begins. Cash in Thai Baht is preferred and simplest. Card and crypto are accepted by secure payment link with a 7% fee covering exchange-rate and conversion costs.

  • Cash in Thai Baht is easiest, but we accept other major currencies in cash too. If you're paying in another currency, our admin gives you the exact converted total before you book, at a fair exchange rate.

  • No. Tipping is appreciated but never expected, and nothing is added to your bill. If you'd like to tip, 200 to 500 THB in cash is the normal range, and it goes directly to your therapist.

  • No charge if you cancel before your therapist leaves for your location. Once she's en route, a 50% fee applies; once she's at your door, the full session is owed. Most last-minute changes are handled with a reschedule rather than a charge, so message us and we'll sort it out.

Health & Comfort

  • Tell us when you book. Massage is generally safe during pregnancy and with many health conditions, but the right treatment and pressure matter, and some conditions need a doctor's clearance first. Let your therapist know about any pregnancy, injury, or medical condition before the session so she can adjust or recommend a gentler treatment. If you're unsure, check with your doctor first.

  • Fresh sheets and clean towels for every booking, fresh oils for every session, and no shared or reused supplies. All our therapists are vaccinated and follow strict hygiene protocols between bookings. The licensing standard we hire to requires it, and we treat it as non-negotiable.

  • Yes. Message us with the recipient's hotel and the treatment you'd like to arrange, and we'll coordinate the timing directly with them. It's a popular option for partners, friends, and colleagues staying in Bangkok.
